Islam has finally done it! It has disproved Christianity!

That’s right! Christianity is a hoax (the greatest hoax ever, I might add). And what is the proof of this? The Bible of Barnabas, of course. You know, the one that most scholars date as written in the 16th century that foretells the coming of the prophet Mohammed? Don’t let that deter you, you just have to have faith that this gospel was written around the time of Jesus. Set aside all that scientific and historical mumbo-jumbo, because it says that “Allah is God, and Mohammed is his Prophet.”

“The discovery of the original Barnabas Bible will now undermine the Christian Church and its authority and will revolutionize the religion in the world,” said Basij Press in Iran. “The most significant fact, though, is that this Bible has predicted the coming of Prophet Mohammad and in itself has verified the religion of Islam, and this alone will unbalance the powers of the world and create instability in the Christian world.”

Islam would certainly love to get rid of us “people of the Book”, as it calls for in their Qur’an, even by death (Qur’an chapters 2, 4, and 9). So this Bible of Barnabas is in Turkey, and the Vatican has asked to see it, which I highly doubt they will have a chance, since it is a forgery from roughly the 16 century.

The god of Islam is more and more becoming the boy who likes to burn ants with a magnifying glass. We are to believe that Jesus came, and failing to send the message of Islam, the Son of God either ignorantly or willingly deceived his followers and billions more to come throughout the ages into a false religion of Christianity.

What Islam is asking is for us to suspend disbelief, and my intelligence becomes more insulted daily as I read the Qur’an. Here are the mind-deadening questions I am asked by Islam:

1. Forget what Jesus actually taught because we don’t have the original gospels to prove what he taught.

_I answer: You know nothing about oral tradition or the thousands of works written just decades after the death of Jesus. If one or two of them added up, that would have been coincidental, but because thousands of writings are in line with the gospels becomes miraculous and statistically improbable at least.

2. Islam didn’t change the Judeo-Christian faiths, the Judeo-Christian faiths have always been wrong.

_I answer: No God would allow thousands of years of error in His name to go on so fruitfully. But this if fitting that one would have to say this in order to preserve his own faith. So, like Mormonism, if this one man is wrong, the entire faith is wrong. I say he is wrong for the simple fact that Islam contradicts all prior understandings, truths, and history. Truth does not contradict prior truths. Only error can, and so can Islam.

3. Mohammed is the last and greatest prophet.

_I answer: He is no prophet. All prophecies ended with the coming of the Son of God, the Messiah, who fulfilled all prophecies; therefore, there are no more prophets (not even a Joseph Smith). There is no new message or way of life to preach after all that Jesus taught, and after his final and greatest act, his most perfect sacrifice. There have been miraculous visions and messages throughout the ages, but none of them contradict Jesus or the Church, but create further understanding of our faith, or encourages the faith, i.e. Our Lady of Fatima or Guadalupe.

4. People of opposing beliefs must be dealt with.

_I answer: I agree! With prayer, love, and charity. But, if we take a look at how Christians and Jews are treated in the Middle East, we will see that opposing beliefs are dealt with persecution, imprisonment, and death. Again, I will make clear, the god of Islam is a cruel god, and is not the God of love, mercy, and justice.

I have suddenly realized that I could go on quite some time with enumerating the many inconsistencies and untruths about Islam, so I will stop here. It is not my goal to tear down Islam or persecute Muslims in any way. I pray for Muslims and love them as God surely does. But, I will not stand idly by as a man-made religion attacks my Church and my God, and insults my every being in the process.

I hope Turkey and the Islamic world stops sitting on this Barnabas Bible and come out with it so the world can see how absurd they sound as they grope for straws, almost shamefully hoping to find an occurrence throughout salvation history and scripture of a prophecy or connection with Islam. It is shameful.

I am angered right now, but I will not be for long, because I know great, kind people who are Muslim, and they are not at fault for what their leaders do, and they typically are Muslim because that is their faith and family cultural tradition. Separating Islam from the follower is like separating white from rice, no matter what is said or proved in opposition to their faith.

Absurdities will always exist because there are absurd people among us. Lies will always be said to be true because truth oftentimes is not as flattering or appealing as the lie. Islamic leaders hope to reach the youth with this lie, to convince them that their religion is true and everyone else’s is false.

I would say to Islamists everywhere, if you have to open every prayer with asking not to be like the Jews or Christians, and if you have to spend your life finding a way to fit into history, prophecy, or religion with your beliefs, you might want to be truthful with yourself and know that Islam is unfounded prior to the 7th century after Christ.

  1. Venting away again I see:>)). You know reading this Travis makes me very thankful to have been born in this nation, even though I disagree with a lot of the politics. I have to ask myself, “If I had been born in a country where Islam would have been the “religion” would I have been Muslim?” Then I have to ask myself, “Why was I born into a Christian family and the Christian belief?” Why such mercy on me there, Travis?

I do not think people realize how dangerous Islam actually is, even though “there are nice ones.” I read an accounting of a woman who was Muslim, and had wonderful Muslim friends. When she converted, she was threatened with death and all sorts of things, even though before these same people had loved and were very good to her. They will kill us, no matter!

I did not even know this “bible” existed. Thanks for the heads up on that. We must pray Travis, and speak out against the lies which are being spread. Outside of that it is in God’s hands!

Good post and God Bless, SR

    • I think the most telling feature about Islam is their lands and how war-torn they are, compared to the beauty and holiness found in Jerusalem and Rome. There is no comparison; one is hell, the other heaven.
The ”kill” mentality, I believe, is part of their hate-filled faith. I witnessed it a few times when discussing abortion and homosexuality with a coworker who was insistent that abortion doctors should be killed, and homosexuals are dealt with severely in Islam (meaning….) . So, as the Christian prays for mercy and conversion of these sinners, Islam may well simply kill them.
Lastly, you are right. America is only a small fraction of the world’s population, yet we were blessed enough to be born here. I have a curious nature, so I would like to think I would have been able to fight the cultural brainwashing of the middle east if I was born there. And if one does convert out of Islam, what typically happens to him or her? Once again, death.
I am very thankful I was born free. I still contend that secularism is our greatest enemy because it is a cancer, but Islam has waged war on Christ for 1300 years, and I do question their kindness much of the time because they do have a ”doctrine of deception” which allows them to lie to the unbelievers to further Islam.
We Christians are called to love the person but hate passionately the sin. Therefore, we can love the Muslim and still fervently hate the erroneous, deceitful, deadly religion of Islam.

  2. Aren’t you being a little too rational? I mean, for the opposition, at least? Which raises the question: How does one reasonably approach apologetics with a fideist?

    • You are absolutely right. The idea that you can have faith without reason is irrational. I once asked a Muslim if there was such a thing as apologetics in Islam. This person didn’t know the word and thought it unimportant to ”prove” the Muslim faith because what Mohammed says is king and nothing else matters. Islam, one day, I hope is studied by researchers to unveil how masses can be brainwashed and utterly absent of free will, reason, and intellect. It is my unfortunate nature to extent the benefit of the doubt to most people, but it is becoming exceedingly difficult to do so for those sold out to Islam.
